Visitor Reviews
This Airbnb was in a wonderful location – walking distance from the lighthouse, town and beach. The house itself is bright and beautiful and the furnishings are clean and lovely. And we really appreciated having the large backyard for our dogs. The kitchen was a little on the small side for the elaborate dinners my husband makes, but he definitely made it work! Emily was the perfect host. She communicated with us ahead of, and throughout, our stay to make sure we had everything we needed. And, she went out of her way to get us a couple of items we asked about it. We loved our first stay in Port Clyde and look forward to coming back next year!

Emily was a great host! we were able to communicate easily and she provided great information on places to check out.
The place is in a great location and it has a beautiful living room where you can relax and enjoy the views.
We loved it and would go back every summer!Elizabeth, August 2022 (Airbnb)
Great house. Great location. Emily puts wonderful little touches into her rental (fresh flowers, candles, etc). Very responsive to outreach through the air bnb app, and had wonderful suggestions for activities and food. Will be looking to rent here again.

Emily was an incredible hostess, going above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. We had the pleasure of meeting her at the Black Harpoon (completely coincidental) and she brought us some items we needed. She also drove us to the car rental place when we couldn’t find a taxi or Uber. (Note that you absolutely need a car to get around the area, not Port Clyde but beyond.) Port Clyde is a charming coastal village. Great nature cruises and ferries and amazing views! Emily’s house was a wonderful place to stay and enjoy. It was lovely to have the backyard to ourselves and we even met our next-door neighbors one evening over beers (another of Emily’s rentals).

Perfect home, perfect location, perfect host! Our family was in search of a quiet and quaint vacation spot and boy did we luck out. We stumbled onto Emily’s listing for this home in Port Clyde and couldn’t be happier. First, the house is the quintessential Maine home but spacious and with every amenity you could want. Large rooms, big windows, bright, charming, inviting. You really do feel at home immediately. Then there’s the location. Port Clyde is a beautiful port town, like something out of a Thomas Kinkade painting. The village has just enough to make it fun and have options for things to do without feeling “touristy” (says the tourist), including a large general store with great options, kayak rentals, an ice cream shop, a classic seafood restaurant, fishery, and a ferry to nearby islands. And this house is in the perfect WALKABLE location. Central to the beach, the lighthouse, and the village (and pretty much across the street from a fishery where we bought our fresh catch for dinner almost every night). No matter which way you walk, you’ll run into something to do. Last but not least there’s the host, Emily. From the onset Emily was communicative and helpful, and made it very clear that she wanted to do everything she could to make our vacation the perfect stay. She offered recommendations and responded within the hour (most of the time within minutes) to any questions or requests. Truly couldn’t have asked for a better stay!

Clean, bright and more spacious than the pictures show in a wonderful location for quick strolls to the water or into port Clyde. Emily is extremely responsive and quick to help with any questions or concerns.

Our stay at Grateful Goose was so wonderful. Emily is the host with the most – she thinks of every detail, and was available every time we had questions or needed recommendations. This spot in Port Clyde is such a gem. The location is great – minutes from the lighthouse, town, and beach. What a wonderful spot. My family and I can’t wait to come back!
